Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Deposits

  • A $200 deposit (or otherwise advised amount) is required to secure your booking and proposal date.

  • By paying the deposit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

  • Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new date.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

2. Payments

  • Full payment is due 7 days before your proposal.

  • Bookings made within 7 days of the event must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • All prices are inclusive of GST.

3. Cancellations

  • Over 14 days’ notice – Deposit forfeited; balance refunded (minus non-recoverable costs such as venue hire, florist or supplier deposits).

  • 7–14 days’ notice – 50% of the package cost refundable.

  • Under 7 days’ notice – 100% of the package cost is non-refundable.

  • All cancellations must be made in writing.

4. Wet Weather & Backup Plans

Outdoor proposals in Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, and other destinations can be impacted by weather. We recommend having a backup plan:

  • 48 hours’ notice – No charge to transfer your booking to a new date (subject to availability).

  • Backup venue – If available, we can move your proposal indoors or undercover (additional fees may apply).

  • No backup chosen – If you do not postpone and no indoor option is secured, 50% of your package fee will be forfeited to cover perishables such as flowers and platters.

5. Venues & Hotel Access

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring venue and hotel access. For hotel room proposals, you must notify the hotel in advance and authorise access for our team.

  • Some venues (gardens, beaches, clifftops) require permits. We assist in arranging these for Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, and other regions.

  • If access is denied for reasons outside our control, we are not liable for non-performance.

7. Photography & Videography

  • You may bring your own photographer/videographer or book through us.

  • Supplier bookings made through Perfect Proposals are non-refundable but transferable if your proposal is rescheduled.

  • Standard delivery includes 20 edited photos within 48–72 hours; additional edits may incur extra charges.

  • Images may be used for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.

  • A 15-minute grace period applies for late arrivals. After this, a $150 per 30 minutes fee may be charged.

8. Florals & Styling

  • We will always do our best to source your chosen flowers and styling items.

  • If specific items are unavailable, we will provide the closest alternative of equal or higher quality.

9. Inclusivity

We proudly celebrate all couples, including LGBTQ+ and gender-neutral proposals. Every setup in Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, and beyond is tailored to your unique love story.

10. Surprise Proposals

We understand discretion is essential. Our team takes every step to ensure surprise proposals remain confidential until the big moment.

11. Liability

Perfect Proposals accepts no liability for:

  • Personal injury or property damage during or after the event.

  • Cancellations, delays, or restrictions caused by circumstances outside our control (e.g., extreme weather, traffic, venue closures).

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
